EFC rings Opening Bell at CSE to celebrate 96 years of service


The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) rang the Opening Bell at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) yesterday, to mark its 96th anniversary.

The ceremony recognised the EFC’s long-standing contribution to promoting social harmony, productive employment and labour advocacy in Sri Lanka.

The event was attended by EFC Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody, Vice Chairman Sanath Manatunga and Director General Vajira Ellepola.

Representing the CSE were Chairman Dimuthu Abeyesekera, Chief Executive Officer Rajeeva Bandaranaike and Chief Executive Officer Designate Vindhya Jayasekera.

The ceremony underscored the EFC’s enduring partnership with the business community and its continued commitment to advancing sustainable employment practices in Sri Lanka.
